We interview Shannon Burgess-Moore from De Iuliis and Grandis Wines

Can you tell us a little about your business and what you’ve been up to lately? 

Whilst continuing to strive for quality, regional expression and drinkability throughout the De Iuliis Wines range, my side project of Grandis Wines is all about experimenting with the ever increasing alternate varieties, that the Hunter Valley and select NSW sub regions has to offer. Two of the latest release being a 2017 single vineyard Hunter Touriga Nacional and a 2018 duel regional blend of Hunter Shiraz and Hilltops Cabernet Sauvignon.

You’ve been using vintrace for a while now, how has it benefited your business?

The greater detailed inputs you can make the better Vintrace works for you. Easy reports and quick LIP reports for when wine show audits come in.

How do you manage work / life balance?

A very understanding and patient wife during the vintage slog!. Combined with working for a great family run company that understands family comes first in some instances, especially during the quieter months.
